His greed and horrifying thirst for power is insatiable and he aspires to be a great musician, which makes young Amadeus to be a great enemy. Behind Devilius' elegant facade lurks a shady, suspicious and slippery character.

Devilius constantly plots to deny the young Amadeus and his family any success, while he aims to be hailed as a hero himself.
