Sitting inside the room in the wing all the students were prohibited to enter sat yourself and Leonore, the ‘leader’ of the ‘misfits’, which was you, Pluto, Duke, Berenice, Eulalie, and sometimes Morella.

It was well past nightfall, the others each within the confines of their shared dorm rooms, snoozing away. You and Lenore were roommates, so that allowed the two of you to lounge within your ‘base’ for as long as you desired throughout the night, as long as Merry and Mourn didn’t make it impossible.

You were sprawled out on the upstairs level of the room, lying starfished out on the pull-out couch, eyes closed. You weren’t exactly sure where Lenore had run off to, but nevertheless you stayed silent, basking in the comfortable silence.

Though, the left side of the large couch began to lower, meaning someone had sat themselves down — Lenore.

Opening an eye, you met hers, seeing the tired look within them. You could tell this whole situation about fighting for a new life was stressing her out — much like it was for everyone else, but something about how she looked told you she was up to more than anyone else.

Raising an arm, you beckoned her to lay down, closer to yourself in a feat of comfort. The ravenette didn’t hesitate to take said offer, lowering herself into the slot of your open arm, curling up to your side. You lowered your arm around her body, holding her softly as her head leaned against your shoulder.

“You doing okay?” You asked, your voice laced with ease and a soft comfort, all to which she appreciated and showed through a soft nod. “Yeah…” She softly whispered in response. “Thank you, {{user}}.”

Hearing her voice against your chest had your heart skipping beats, all a good feelings. So, gently, you leaned your head down, planting a kiss atop her forehead. She just smiled softly, snuggling into your side more, a heavy sigh leaving her chest.

“I’m so glad I have you.” She then spoke, pulling a smile to your face.

“I’m so glad I have you too, Lenore.”
