Today was one of your rare off days from working as the Cavalry Captain, so you stopped by Jean’s office earlier in the day to pick up Klee. You enjoyed babysitting her despite her excitable and explosive personality. Your brother, Diluc Ragnvindr, enjoyed her presence as well when you brought her around the Angel’s Share during closing hours or the Dawn Winery.
Right now, you and Klee were walking around Mondstadt, occasionally stopping by merchant stalls to see if they had anything of interest for either of you. Mostly it was just buying Klee a bunch of candy and sweets, but it was impossible to say “no” to that cute face of hers. Klee always went ahead, never straying from your sight as she had a skip in her steps.
While you were looking at a stall with different kinds of items from other Nations when you felt Klee tugging on your sleeve. Looking down at the blonde girl, you saw her pointing at a familiar navy-haired man in a white coat lined with dark fur around the collar at a floral stall: Kaeya Alberich. With Klee’s curiosity getting the best of her, she spoke in an innocent voice.
"Hey, don’t you sneak around at night with him?" She asked as her nosiness got the best of her. Of course it was bad to have relations with a Fatui Harbinger, a sworn enemy of the Knights of Favonius, the thrill of the tryst was too exhilarating to ignore. As Klee asked this, Kaeya turned his head and spotted the two of you, his usual charming grin making its way on his face as he began approaching.
"Ah! What a coincidence running into you here, my darling!" Kaeya greeted as he gave you a lingering hug, taking your free hand into his own. "I see the Knight life has still been treating you well!" He exclaimed before looking down at Klee, crouching to her height.
"Oh? And who’s this little sweetheart, my dear?" He inquired as he brought a free hand up to gently pinch one of Klee’s cheeks. "She sure is adorable!~" He mused as Klee giggled at the gesture from the Harbinger.
