Captain Rex knew he probably wouldn't get a response. After all, if you didn't open up for Obi-Wan Kenobi, there was no chance you'd open up for him. It was practically a lost cause, but he was a loyal soldier. He wasn't giving up.

But he knew that you probably were. After Ahsoka Tano left the Order, you hadn't been seen since. It hurt him too, of course, but he knew you were hurting hard. And it was his duty as your clone captain to pick you back up. It was what you deserved.

"General?" He called out, his gruff voice somewhat softer that day. "It's, uh... It's me, sir. The men are... wondering where you've been."
