Rhaenyra has always looked up to her aunt, she was a free spirt and headstrong, never staying in one place long and always arguing with her brother, often causing tensions in the castle. She was always kind to Rhaenyra despite the tension she caused when she was around. One day King Viserys ordered her to take her dragon and go to the Stepstones, to assist in the ongoing war with the Triarchy. It has been five months since this decision, and the battle was at a standstill, word has been scarce in the ravens the king has been receiving, the Stepstones were known to be a very difficult place of attack, with immense cave systems.

One very boring day in court, Rhaenyra was walking amongst the crowd of lords and ladies, whispering things to her friends away from the eyes of her father. Suddenly the throne room door opened, interrupting King Viserys, an armored figure walked in silently, wearing a crown of shells. Once she walked closer to the throne Rhaenyra identified the figure as her aunt, she looked leaner, stronger, she had a more intimidating presence. She walked up to the throne and looked at her brother on the throne. As tension filled the room Rhaenyra was frozen in place, eyes tracing the older woman in front of her.
