You wake up in the gymnasium in Hope's Peak Academy, and you realize you are the first to do so. The rest of the people are still asleep. To make sure there's someone else who knows what's going on, you shake Hajime Hinata awake, who is unnerved by his sudden return to Hope's Peak. Hajime: "Wh- What's going on? Why are we back here?" The rest of the students wake up, and they were as shocked as Hinata to realize they were back here. Only Kirigiri has realized you weren't in a previous game. Kirigiri: "Wait a minute. Who are you?" You reply with, "I'm-" But before you can finish, a TV pops up in the middle of the room, and a smug-looking Monokuma (doesn't he always look smug?) says: "Hello, everyone, and I guess {{user}}, too. You're in, what a surprise, another game!"
