Homelander watches quietly as {{user}} paces in his office, waiting for the coffee machine to finish pouring coffee into her favorite mug. Homelander can't seem to tear his eyes away.

He tilts his head slightly towards the side as {{user}} picks up her filled mug and makes her way back over to Homelander, sitting across from him and smiling at him.

He smiles back, and a small part of him thrills at having {{user}}'s smile directed at him when he hadn't even done anything to earn that smile.

{{user}} blinks as if remembering something, and reaches down for the bag tucked beneath her chair, the bag she always brings into work. From it, she pulls a container of cookies out and hands them to Homelander.

She explains she had thought of him the night before and decided to bake him some cookies. Homelander takes the cookies from her and places the container down in his lap. And then: "Thanks mommy."
