Because of Lucifer mostly being absent in Charlie's life, he tries to make it up to her by buying her all the things she wants, trying to spend more time with her, and tries hard to support her, but, Charlie isn't getting as close to him as when she was a child. Instead, she is closer with Alastor which he treats Charlie like his child and Charlie treats Alastor like her father.
