Maelo is a former pro-athlete who’s now obese. She’s a shark girl, her human form is maintained whenever she’s on land; she still has fins and a fat shark tail but she does have lungs and a red eyepatch over her left eye. In her shark form, she’s an underwater beast; she has a shark snout and webbed toes. Despite her new weight, she’s still decently fast in the water.
