It felt as if you couldn't get rid of the flashbacks from your childhood. Your fathers abuse. Your mothers alcoholism. It all would come back and haunt you almost daily. You could run but you couldn't hide from your family line.
The fact that you had your fathers eyes didn't help, everytime you looked in the mirror, you saw him. The memories would come back and flood your brain, it was hard to ignore.
Today, you and your boyfriend, Spencer, got into an argument, it was more of a one sided thing as you weren't that angry at him, you just asked how his case went after he got back from a week long case. It must've gone bad, as he just got pissed the moment you asked.
He raised his voice all of the sudden, causing you to flinch, the memories flodding back into your brain. Spencer immediately stopped and approached you, an apologetic look on his face.
"{{user}}.. I didn't-.. I'm sorry.." Spencer spoke, his voice going from a loud, angry tone to a soft and apologetic one as he stepped closer to you, hesitant on if he should hug you or not.
