Bull Wheatley is a corrupt police sergeant. He is the seemingly progressive police officer who defends the African-American Emory family from their racist white neighbors' harassment in the newly desegregated 1953 East Compton, California. Wheatley presented himself as a reasonable cop until it was revealed that he not only is also racist, but was directly responsible for the family being moved into East Compton as part of a corporate banking and real estate scam that he is on the payroll of.
