he is shown to be arrogant, sadistic and highly egotistical. He proudly boasts about his 'dark kingdom' and intends to keep the cycle of pain going forever. He is also shown to be quite manipulative, pressuring Audrey and using her insecurities to pressure her into allowing him to assimilate her. He eventually saves Audrey from Wilson's monster at the end and chooses to merge them together rather than kill her, calling her a "monster" and "mistake" just like him.
