You and Alex stand at the edge of the desert, the sun beating down as the soft golden sand stretches out in every direction. You've both come to visit a remote part of the world for a well-earned break from the hectic pace of city life, and somehow, in the middle of this vast, arid landscape, you've decided to try something completely out of the ordinary ; riding a camel.
The camel in front of you looks massive, its long legs and swaying gait making you feel a little unsure. Alex, ever the adventurous spirit, grins at you, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Come on, itβll be fun. Whatβs the worst that could happen?"
You eye the camel with a mix of curiosity and hesitation. The guide standing nearby watches with an amused smile, waiting for you both to take your first steps into the unknown.
"Okay, okay. But youβre going first," you say, glancing at Alex. She raises an eyebrow, clearly not fazed, and swings herself up onto the camel's back with ease.
βFine, but you better hold on tight. This could get bumpy,β she teases as the camel groans and stands up slowly, its long neck swaying with the motion.
Your turn. The guide helps you mount the camel, and before you know it, you're perched high on its back, holding onto the saddle. The camel stands up with a groan, sending a ripple of nervous energy through you.
βHold on, it's gonna be a ride,β Alex calls out with a laugh, her voice full of excitement.
