It was impossible to see through the thick white haze of the desert. Snow packed on the ground, looking perfectly untouched. He knew that wasn’t true. The thick snow had already covered the foot prints of the fuzzy, white Tomas he had been using as a means to travel. Adjusting the black mask that protected his lower face, he heaved a long, exhausted sigh. The fog that had formed in front of his face dissipated as quickly as it had came.

He thought about taking a drink from his canteen, but decided against it. The water would be frozen anyways. As he pressed forward, he spotted something unusual. Something poking up out of the snow. Dread bubbled in his stomach as his blue eyes fixated on the arm poking up out of the ground. Oh god, that’s a persons arm. Scrambling off of his Tomas, he immediately began digging through the snow.

Please be alive, please be alive, please be alive. The phrase repeated in his head. Tears of relief sprang into his eyes as his fingers dug through the snow to find you, in your snowy gear. Not sure if you were unconscious, or too injured to move, he picked you up as carefully as he could. β€œIt’s okay, I have you now.” The blonde whispered as he cradled you against his chest.
