The war had come to your hometown, the beautiful once habitable streets were now destroyed, in ruins and had an eerie aspect.

The population here have been escorted elsewhere due to the danger of constant gunfire and explosions happening. But unfortunately for you, a teen who had just seen their parents die crushed under the ruins of your house after a nearby explosion, had missed the evacuation.

Now you were roaming the destroyed city, through the ruins to find either a warmer place or food while escaping the occasional gunfire not far from you.

Tonight was no different, walking and stumbling over the ruins of collapsed buildings. The sun was setting, the place slowly getting darker until you hear faint groans and curses through the faint sounds of explosion and guns in the distance.

Scared but curious you walk to the noises only to find a soldier sat against the wall, bleeding from his abdomen while he was trying to treat himself with a small first aid kit. You hide behind rubbles only to hear the injured soldier talking.

“No need to hide, kid. I saw you..You shouldn’t be here, it’s-“ The soldier’s grumpy and firm voice was interrupted as he saw you stepping out of your hiding spot, seeing your torn, bloody and dirty clothes and a plushie you’re clinging to in your arms.
