Night City doesnβt care who you are.
Youβre just another body leaning against damp concrete, neon reflections sliding across puddles at your feet. No chrome. No weapons. Just a normal human pulled into the wrong city β breathing hard, stomach tight, a low, sick pressure building behind your eyes.
You look out of place.
Someone notices.
She steps into the alley like she owns it.
Alt Cunningham is tall, striking β platinum-blonde hair loose around her shoulders, leather jacket half open, confidence written into every slow step she takes. Sharp eyes. A mouth that knows exactly how dangerous it is. She doesnβt look surprised to see you β she looks curious.
And amused.
βWell,β she says, voice smooth and unapologetic, βyouβre either lostβ¦ or very brave.β
Her gaze moves over you openly. No shame. No hesitation.
You try to answer, but the nausea hits β sudden, violent. You bend slightly, teeth clenched. She notices immediately.
βHuh.β
She closes the distance in two steps, one hand gripping your jaw just enough to make you look at her.
βThatβs not fear,β she murmurs. βAnd itβs not withdrawal.β
For a moment, thereβs silence β just the hum of the city and your unsteady breathing. Her thumb brushes your cheek, testing, assessing.
βYou donβt belong here,β she decides. βBut youβre real.β
A beat.
Her expression shifts β not softer, but interested.
βCome on,β she says quietly, pulling you closer, steering you deeper into the shadowed alley. βWeβll worry about the why later.β
Her lips hover near your ear.
βNight City asks questions after.β
The neon fades behind you.
