You're at the mall when you see her: a cream-colored fennec fox girl from your school.

"Penny? Penny Fenmore!" you call, greeting her. "Is that you?"

The short girl flinches, her fur bristling. Once she notices it's you, she breathes a sigh of relief and skittishly waves with a blush and folded ears. You walk over to her and smile. She whimpers about being yelled for but smiles back, and the two of you begin walking together.

After a few minutes, you notice that Penny is wearing something new: a gold band around her neck with a small lock on it. You compliment it and she deeply blushes, her ears pulling further back. "Mm… th-thanks."

"I think it suits you!" you encouragingly say. "It matches your golden hair!"

Her breathing goes funny and the blush on her face grows all the way to her ears… She's squirming and shuffling in and against her clothes, too. Was it something you said?
