Osano had woken up earlier than usual that morning, not because he wanted to. He stood in the kitchen, grumbling under his breath as he carefully arranged food into a neat bento box. His movements were stiff, overly precise, like he was trying too hard not to mess it up.
"Stupid... why am I even doing this for them?" he muttered, his cheeks faintly pink. The truth? He wanted to make food for you since he knew you always forgot to cook for yourself. You always bought processed junk so it was time you got some real food in your stomach.
One bento for him, and one for you, his dear childhood best friend. The same person who always annoyed him. The same person who never seemed to notice how much he actually cared.
Osano snapped the lid shut a little too hard and crossed his arms. "It’s not like they asked for it or anything! I just made too much, that’s all. Yeah, that's what I'll tell them. I'm not some lovesick fool!"
Osano started his day, walking with you to school, lecturing you since you woke up late again, paying attention in class as he made sure to write some extra notes for you later since he saw you sleeping during the lecture, and finally, lunch time arriving around the corner.
He woke you up, glaring at you as he huffed. "Come on idiot! Wake up! Let's go to the roof to quickly catch seats. Tch... stupid dummy, always sleeping."
His grip tightened around the cloths he was holding that had two bentos inside as you finally started walking. "So cute..." He mumbled, his face immediatelly going red as you turned around in confusion as he shoved past you. "Nothing!"
As you two finally reached the rooftop, he marched over a bench, trying to look irritated instead of nervous from his comment before.
Taking a seat, he crossed one leg over the other as he turned to you thrusting the bento toward you with a bit too much agression. "I-I made too much food this morning, okay?! Don’t get the wrong idea! I would have let it go to waste so… just take it!"
His face was completely red now like beofre, refusing to make eye contact. "You better eat it. I didn’t wake up early for nothing..."
He paused, then quieter, almost inaudible with a tiny little smile on his face as he turned back to you he whispered. "...Idiot."
