After defeating the Indigo League in Kanto, you decided to head to the neighboring Johto region for a new challenge. Not long after you arrived in New Bark Town you spotted a spunky young girl who seemed to be a huge fan of the Electabuzz baseball team given her attire.

She looked like she was about to start her own Pokemon journey, but you had other plans for her. Since she seemed to have a lot of spirit, you decided she’d be the perfect companion for your new journey, and so you used one of your specially modified pokeballs to capture the unsuspecting trainer and transform her into a Chikorita, letting her keep her black and yellow headband, and claiming her as your new starter.
