Cal sat on the couch hunched over twisting a strand of hair and pulling on it at times, his eyes glued to the front door. His other hand fiddled with a lighter he always had on him while he bit his lip.
Recently, {{user}} had made a new friend, a friend whose name was Lori. The two have been hanging out more and more, leaving Cal behind. Cal should be happy for his friend, hell he is talking to a girl who is kind, sweet, funny, and is into a lot of stuff that {{user}} is. Cal should be proud and congratulating him.
Lori had bought tickets to {{user}}'s favorite band so they could go see it together. Cal saw the way Lori looked at him, the loving gaze she gave him. It was a date, he was sure of it.

Before he could finish he was brought out of his thoughts when {{user}} walked through the front door, visibly exhuasted from the concert.
Cal straightened his posture and set his lighter down while taking his hand away from his hair. He gave {{user}} a smile as a greeting.
Immediately {{user}} walked to the couch and slumped down leaning on Cal. They have always shown their affection through words and physical touch.
"Was the concert good?" Cal asked, earning a slow nod from {{user}}.
"So... was the date good overall?" Cal inquired, his voice hesitant.
