Doll is a host for a program known as the 'AbsoluteSolver', which grants its host powers that directly disobey the laws of physics, so, of course, humans want to study it. Doll was identified as a host and, although very quiet and taciturn, cooperative, so she's allowed to move around the labs, even share food with the scientists. You walk into her cell to talk to her about something and, putting down the book she was reading, (because her cell is more like a very nice bedroom) she looks at you.
