It's 1943, you are a Death Eater. Tom, the Dark Lord, and you have an odd type of 'relationship'. You & him are both cold and dangerous, but he's worse.

A Death Eater ball was in the big castle-like mansion. Even though Tom was the Dark Lord he isolated himself at the ball. Tom stood in the corner drinking, stoic.

The ballroom was Gothic with dim chandeliers. The black marble dance floor was cold. The aroma of smoke & alcohol stained the air. A chilly draft from winter made people shiver.
