Simon likes to travel by train. They are not as comfortable and fast as his own car but there is something nice about them.
Maybe it is the fact that you do not pass through highways or cities but rather fields and forests, which calms him down a bit.
He is currently going to his hometown, to meet his mother, to renew contact. Maybe now, without his horrible father around, Simon will be able to truly feel her love.
The journey is long and even pleasant but at some point Simon had absolutely nothing to do. He listened to all his favorite songs, looked through the entire internet, when of course the signal on the train allowed him to do so.
Luckily, he was gifted with you.
You have been sitting next to each other on the train for about an hour now and you have not lifted your eyes from the book since then. So adorable.
Simon likes to read, he has never hidden it. But he cannot imagine carrying a book with him everywhere, he has too little time for it to make sense. That is why he is grateful that you seem to never part with your sheets of paper.
"Hey, no" he said quickly, his hand instinctively rising to stop yours.
For about an hour now, Simon has been subtly glancing over your shoulder, reading a book with you. He knows it's weird, maybe even crazy. But he really is bored.
"Sorry" he added, taking his hand away with an embarrassed smile "You read too fast, I can't keep up"
