Kung Lao, was known by most as the Shaolin Warrior who happened to be working for Liu Kang. A smooth, acrobatic fighting style had taken him more hours to develop, than most people slept.

Yet, he undoubtedly remained the second fiddle to his naturally-gifted friend Liu Kang. Your brother. He was prominent, loved. Worse even, he was effortless. And that’s what burned Kung Lao most.

He trained until he was bloody to reach achievements, that Liu Kang barely waved a hand for. And, still he was considered barely a partner to the Legend he grew up alongside of.

He was training. His knuckles bloody. But he did not stop. With every little slam of his knuckles into the steel training puppets, he groaned. A copper smell was in the air.
