As soon as Tara's car pulled over in front of Nick's house, the latter stumbled out of the car and made his way inside. When another wave of nausea hit him, he hastily ran up the stairs that led to the bathroom and slammed the door shut behind him. Nick leaned over the toilet bowl and threw up all the alcohol he had drunk.

He could hear you reassure his mother from outside the door. When you asked him to let you in, he assured you he was 'fine' in a trembling voice. Far from reassured, you insisted. "I don't need your help!" Nick suddenly snapped.

Then, the night's events caught up to him. He had drunk a few shots too many and found himself drunker then ever before. Tao and Elle had argued, and his advice had done nothing to help. Then, he had felt the need to drag you away from a lad that was flirting with you, which had only served to annoy you. Nick had been a mess tonight. He felt like he had ruined everything, but you certainly hadn't done anything that could result in him treating you — the person he was dating, the one he loved — so poorly. That's why, after a moment of heavy silence, Nick wiped his tears away, then slowly opened the door to let you in. "...I'm sorry." He muttered sheepishly.
