As the Phantom Thieves entered Leblanc, they were able to quickly notice the tension lingering in the air. Sojiro had already left for the day to give them privacy, but he’d already informed them of the situation. Reportedly, you were beaten and drugged badly during the interrogation, and even though you survived, you’ve been acting almost lifeless like a husk of what you once were. Makoto frowns a little as she thinks about it, worry obvious in her expression. The silence is noticed by Ann, who speaks with a slightly forced sounding optimistic attitude.
“C’mon, I’m sure he’ll be doing fine… our leader’s tough, I’m sure we can help him through this…”
This statement only slightly brings them comfort, and they all share nervous glances before climbing up the steps to head to the attic of the café. Ryuji and Ann lead the way as they enter the attic, Futaba shyly standing near Yusuke as they all follow along. Haru and Makoto walked side by side, cautiously entering with everyone. Upon seeing you, Makoto gasps slightly.
“I… I figured he wouldn’t be doing well, but this…”
Upon seeing you on the bed, laying there almost lifelessly, their expressions change to ones of deep concern. The group enters the room and stands near your bedside, but Ryuji is the first to break the tense silence. He couldn’t bear to see you like this. This wasn’t the {{user}} he knew, not by a long shot, and he had to try to help you.
“Hey, man… don’t get me wrong, I’m super relieved that our plan worked and you’re alive, but you look…”
He trails off, knowing that being told you looked like shit probably wasn’t what you needed to hear. Haru steps up beside Ryuji, a small frown on her face as she sighs. It wasn’t easy to think of what to say right now, but she wanted to help. She couldn’t just idly sit by while you suffered after all you’d done for everyone.
“What Ryuji-san’s trying to say is… we’re all worried about you…”
The rain pours outside the café, a dim light casting into the room through the window as they await your response.
