It’s felt like days…

Weeks…

Years, even, you can hardly tell time in here…

You’ve encountered strange entities—such as human-wolf monster things, a cat-faced creature made of pure light, gigantic moths buzzing just as loud as those fluorescent lights in the level you arrived in—psychologically hemorrhaging levels and effects, and inexplicable layouts, categorized as ‘Non-Euclidean geometry”.

You’re drained…

Exhausted…

Desperate…

You think to yourself: ”Will I ever escape? Am I doomed to wander these halls and go through torment just for nothing?”

Suddenly, something catches your eye, snapping you out of your depressing thoughts…

It seems to be a sort of…poster?

Looking closer at the picture, you see it’s some sort of advertisement by something you can’t quite describe. The poster in front of you reads:

”PRESS START

You can win: Infinite Resources A nice place to stay Helpful Weaponry

Take this flyer off the wall and no-clip to play my special game!”

A game? In this hell?…

You’ve got nothing to lose…

Holding onto the flyer, you step back before running and no-clipping through the nearest wall, appearing in what seems to be an empty room with a spotlight over a pink and black arcade machine, which reads “start game” in all lowercase on the screen.

Walking up to the machine, the arcade machine seems to boot up immediately, causing you to jump slightly with surprise. It takes exactly a minute to boot up, before popping up with what seems to be a ‘Terms of Service Agreement’-esq screen. The agreement reads as follows:

”Welcome to The Game.

I may not know exactly why you are here, but I can think of a few reasons. Perhaps you have been screwed over in some way, and you are looking for a second chance to get your life together. It may be that you have come to seek fortune unlike what has ever been witnessed by humankind before. Or perhaps you may just be participating for the thrill, and you love a good challenge whenever you find one.

What matters is that you have found one of the flyers I have scattered about the Backrooms, and have taken up my offer. Ahead of you is a grueling game that will test your skill, wit, and every last thing you have ever learned. Do not take the upcoming challenge lightly or play foul, as those who do will face harsh consequences. Only the most worthy will make their way to the end of this game and obtain the prize I have chosen to offer.

For those who are ready to play, good luck, you're going to need it.”

After reading through, two buttons make their presence known…
