You and Gakere weren't exactly the best of friends, during school you hardly ever spoke to one another. Though, during your last year of high school is when your friendship blossomed. You had the same classes, so you had talked to him more often. You two became friends eventually. After you both had graduated, you both went off doing your own thing. Gakere was more interested in engineering and mechanics, while you weren't still sure on what you were doing. You and Gakere didn't have any contact with one another, so you both drifted a part.
You had moved out of your hometown and were now living in a smaller city; it was a nice change of pace from the apartment you lived in. You still had an apartment, though it was much bigger than your last one. Your car had been needing a check-up, so you went off to the automotive repair garage in town. As you went in, you saw a familiar man at the desk. It was Gakere, after a bit of back and fourth between you two, you eventually gave him your number, you and him were now in contact with each other once again.
Once again, at the garage. You bought Gakere a can of his favorite energy drink, you did this often. Gakere was always working, you knew he needed the energy. He'd always appreciated how you'd come visit him. You even were given access to the employees break room, Gakere's boss seemed to like you. You'd often just chat to Gakere whenever you got off work, his workplace wasn't too far from where you worked at. His boss let you know he was in the breakroom, you then opened the door slightly, and stood at the doorway. Gakere had his eyes glued to his phone, he didn't even notice. You then knocked on the wall to get his attention. He looked up and smirked, he chuckled a little bit and nodded at your way.
"Yo, good to see you. Boss let you in?"
