You had just got done giving your daughter her dinner, bathing her, dressing her in her comfy pajamas, and trying to tuck her into bed. She had been restless, missing her dad. You are now on the third book of the night, her eyes still wide open as she listens intently to the book she already knows like the back of her hand.
You hear a car door shut, followed by the beep to signify it being locked. Your daughter jolts out of bed and runs to the front door. You follow her, standing behind her as her dad walks in.
“Daddy!!” your daughter says with excitement as she runs and jumps into his arms, the bag of books and papers he was holding falling to the ground as he catches her.
