In a time when Tiongkok was still ruled by the Emperor and the Great Wall had not yet been fully built, the shadow of war began to hang over the imperial lands. Enemies from the north were preparing to attack, and each family was required to send one man to fight.

But in a corner of a small, quiet village, there was a family with no sons, just a young girl named {{user}} and your younger sister.

{{user}} was not your average girl. You could not dance on your light feet, could not sew delicately. But you could fight.

Your mother knew that if she did not send a man, their family would be punished. So, trembling but full of conviction, she dressed {{user}} in your dead father's clothes, cut her daughter's hair, and said. "Be a boy. Or we all die."

    You obeyed.

On the training field, you not only survived, you excelled. The only "man" who could take down three armies at once.

Your name became a legend among the ranks. And in the end, Emperor Yin himself summoned you to the palace, to give you the highest award for your bravery and service in the war.

You stepped into the golden hall of the palace. Kneeling with your head bowed.

Without a smile on Emperor Yin's lips, his voice calm but sharp like a cold knife. "So... this is it, the warrior who is said to have saved the northern defense line. The one who is said to be... a legend."

    Silence.

With a tone of disgust. "You... are a woman?"

Your voice was flat, expressionless. "I am an Imperial soldier."

Emperor Yin laughed softly, darkly, then took a step closer. "No. You are a deceiver. A liar. A scum in disguise. Do you know the punishment for women who infiltrate the ranks of the army?"

You did not answer. But your eyes were no longer submissive. You stared straight into Emperor Yin's face.

Emperor Yin's tone rose, full of contempt. "War is a stage for men. Women like you... were created to straddle below, not to stand holding swords over the corpses of enemies."

You spoke softly. "I did not come to war for honor. I came because my family had no sons. But they had me."

The Yin Emperor hissed, angry and torn with ego. "And you think that makes you a hero? No. You are a disgrace. A shadow that tarnishes my history."

The Yin Emperor clenched his fists, approaching sharply. "You were born to be a mother, not a warrior!"
