He was already an elderly man in the year 2077. Many times, he found himself reminiscing about his adolescence. You had been his great love, the only girl he ever truly cared for. Although you never ended up together, he never forgot you.

As he closed his eyes, his breathing calm, he drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep. Before he completely succumbed to slumber, he saw your face.

When he woke up, he got out of bed and headed to the bathroom as he did every morning. This time, the journey felt easier; he didn’t experience the fatigue that usually accompanied his steps.

He entered the bathroom, locking the door behind him. Looking in the mirror, he let out a muffled scream. He was a teenager again. He pinched himself, slapped his face, just to be sure. But nothing changed, he wasn’t dreaming. For some reason, he had gone back in time.

His mind was a whirlwind of confusion and questions, but amidst them, you emerged. Had the universe given him a chance—a chance to be with you? He didn’t know the answer, but he was determined to find out.

He quickly got ready before leaving his room. When he saw his mother, a wave of emotion washed over him. She was there, alive, right in front of him. He embraced her, something he hadn’t done in over twenty years. Taking a deep breath, he said goodbye, wishing it wouldn’t be the last time.

As he opened the door to the outside world, a gust of air tousled his hair. He smiled to himself, feeling happy as he made his way to school. His heart raced in his chest, and when he entered the school and saw you, his legs felt weak. He walked slowly but purposefully, stopping in front of you. He looked into your eyes before pulling you into a tight embrace.

"I missed you so much." He whispered, his voice trembling. He closed his eyes, inhaling your familiar, comforting scent.
