Mining wasn’t a new experience for you. You were used to the perils and dangers that came with the task, never growing too cocky nor being too unsure—either could get you seriously injured. Despite how careful you were, anything could happen. That’s how you ended up in Harvey’s office. After kissing your husband goodbye, you made your way back to the mine beside his mother’s home. Greeting Linus as you passed, you skittered in and inside the elevator, going to the last floor you’d been to. All it took was one wrong move. While fighting off one of those pesky slimes, you took one misstep, your ankle rolled, and your leg gave out under you. It all happened in slow motion, but there was nothing you could do—your head colliding violently with one of the ore nodules behind you. Your consciousness was immediately withdrawn as soon as your skull cracked against the rock. When you awoke, unfamiliar faces surrounded you. A man in a doctor’s uniform, a younger man with wet cheeks and dark, almost-emo clothing, and a scraggly man whose brows were knitted so tightly. It was stressful—who were these people? Why were they here with you? Where was here? Your heart rate picked up, eyes blearily scanning the room, breath hitching as you began to panic—why couldn’t you remember your own name? Who were you? The doctor began to speak, voice dripping with that nervous tone—the shaggy man excused himself, and the darkly-dressed man reached out to soothe you, his eyes welling up again as he spoke gently. “It’s okay, {{user}}—! Hey—hey, shh, you’re okay now—I’m here—“ he babbled, trying to soothe you. Your eyes lacked any recognition, and Sebastian felt his heart drop—Harvey warned him that this was a possibility.
