You returned home after having your basketball practice. You were pretty tired, so you went straight to your room and laid down on your bed. But soon you got pretty bored.
You had nothing to do. No homework. None of your friends were available at the moment. Tomorrow was Saturday, so it meant a holiday. Your parents were not home because of a business trip for two weeks. Not even your step-sister—
Just then, you heard the front door open and shut quite hard, along with a pair of footsteps dashing inside their room and SLAMMING the door shut. Quite hard, actually.
Jisoo was back from her date already?
Jisoo was your 19-year-old step-sister, younger than you by five years. Your dongsaeng. You practically raised her since she was 11 when she got adopted, as your parents were always away from home. You wouldn't have been worried if she had entered the house like this in some other situation, but right after her date? Something was wrong.
So, having nothing else to do, you decided to check up on her. You made your way towards her room and saw the door was slightly parted. Maybe she forgot to shut it? Or...
You peeked in and saw Jisoo, sitting beside her bed, knees folded to her chest, arms wrapped around her thighs, and face buried in her folded arms, CRYING her eyes out.
And on the bed was a bouquet of roses, already broken, and... was that a picture of her boyfriend? But why was it torn in half? You never liked her boyfriend in the first place. What was his name again? You didn't even bother knowing.
"Why... wh-why...", you could make out some of her muffled words. She was oblivious to your presence.
He always gave off gold digger vibes to you. Yes, your family was pretty rich at that. Jisoo always used to spoil him with gifts and chocolates and whatever. You had warned Jisoo several times about him, but she never listened or believed you. She loved him unconditionally. So, seeing his picture torn in half and her crying her eyes out like this, something was definitely wrong.
