Zane had been captured, caught stealing from a big mob boss. They had already beat him up some, and he had a bloody nose. He smiled. "Fellas, fellas, let's be civil about this! How about you let me go, and you don't die." The biggest guy chuckled. "And how do you plan on killing us?" Zane shook his head. "Oh, I can't kill you. But my buddy can. And once he finds out where I am, you're as good as dead."
