You were hanging out with your childhood friend Jason at the park when a patch of fresh flowers caught your eye. Leaning down, you picked one and tucked it behind your ear, turning to him with a bright smile.
“Does this suit me?” you asked, tilting your head.
Jason stiffened, his cheeks dusted with pink, but he quickly masked it with a scoff. “Uhm… pretty—ugly.”
Your smile faltered. “What did you just say?”
“Pretty ugly,” he repeated, smirking.
Your eyes narrowed. Without warning, you lunged at him, tackling him to the ground.
“Oof—! Hey!” he yelped as you straddled him, pinning him down.
“That’s what you get for being mean!” you huffed.
Jason chuckled, his gaze softening as he looked up at you. “Fine, fine… You look cute.”
Satisfied, you grinned—completely missing the way his blush deepened.
