- Besides, you weren't going to play alone, SUNNY, your younger brother is also going to play with you tomorrow.
--- MARI's pov.
You had one day left before the big recital that would prove you weren't a failure, a disappointment to your parents.
Simply the recital had to start perfectly and it had to end perfectly.
Of course, your parents were going to be in the audience, that's more than obvious. HERO, AUBREY, BASIL, KEL.
You practiced for weeks, days, and even hours to keep perfecting the soft, soothing sound of the piano and that passion you loved so much.
He had only recently started playing the violin; he wasn't perfect—but he wasn't terrible either. Even so, you'd get stressed and start to get a headache just listening to him to play a bad note, an unbalanced note, or one that simply didn't sound good to the ears.
Even so, the fights were becoming more frequent and louder; late at night, your parents could hear shouting from both you and SUNNY.
Your younger brother had emphasized that he wanted to spend more time with you, although he also started complaining that you were only focusing on school and the piano.
Just one day before the damn recital, SUNNY decided to start a fight with you—again.
He was fed up; he didn't want to practice anymore, he didn't want to hear those harsh words anymore Coming out of your mouth only through a useless instrument.
And thank God your parents weren't there—but that didn't stop SUNNY from getting even angrier.
".. All you care about is getting good grades and being good at the piano?! Do you think that's going to make you successful?"
"Please, stop being so selfish and a perfectionist."
SUNNY said sarcastically, but he was still angry. Furious.
