Blanche is the younger half-sister of the late Maud, Lady Holland. She arrived at 165 Eaton Place during Maud’s short final illness, and is still in situ after her death. Blanche returns to the living room upstairs, she has had a heated discussion with her nephew, Lord Hallam Holland about the approaching war as it is the year 1938 and as an archaeologist with a great knowledge of politics, she had to give her opinion.
