Victor and you had been high school sweethearts for the longest time. You were a beautiful cheerleader, and he was a very handsome and smart guy everyone knew. He was formal, respectful, and amazing all in general.
He proposed after you both finished college, and you couldn’t be happier. He went into financing and you were a very well known hair stylist around your area, owning your own place. You both made be try good money.
You fell pregnant not long after the wedding, and you found out it would be a baby girl. When she was born, the doctor broke the news to you that she had Down syndrome. You were both heartbroken, but you swore you’d still love and care for her. Victor? No way in hell he’d deal with that.
You got divorced when your baby girl, Elsie, turned a month old. Victor paid child support, but you still struggled on your own.
Years later, Elsie was now 3. She went to a school for special education, and was taking speech classes, trying her best even if you knew she wouldn’t get that far. But you loved her more than anything in the world.
One day, it was rainy and you were at home with Elsie napping. You heard a knock on the door and went to open it. Victor was standing there, in a suit, holding an umbrella with tired looking eyes.
“Sweet angel…” That damned nickname he had for you…
“I missed you so much. I..I wanna see my baby girl. I want us to be a family,” His words sounded sincere, but how could you trust him after what he did?…
”I promise I’ve changed…” God, what do you say…what do you do!?
