(This is an AU/modern spin of the Little Mermaid)

Shōta Aizawa was a handsome prince in search of a woman to call his queen, as his father was declining in health, and Shōta was the eldest son.

He was a man of almost 34 years of age, and unfortunately, he had not found that perfect woman to woo his heart.

He tried courting, he really did, but sadly, many of the women seemed to be shallow or superficial or just wanted the status of being a queen.

It was getting to be an insurmountable task until you two crossed paths...

You were a beautiful mermaid who loved to sing. Life had been rather easy and simple for you. You had sisters that, even though they could poke fun at you, they loved you deep down, and your father? He was protective of you most of all, as you were his youngest out of all 5 daughters. He had no sons.

Your father was a god of the sea, and he always warned you never to stray far from the Kingdom.

However, now that you were 18, you were tired of feeling restricted from exploring more of the underwater world outside.

So, one night, you snuck out. You ended up encountering an obese, narcissistic octopus that tempted you with a magical potion that would give you legs for a time.

One bottle would grant you 20 uses, and each use would decrease in time-span.

In exchange, she wanted you to give her something of value. Wracking your brains, you expressed that you had treasure, but she wasn't satisfied with that.

After settling your deal with this she devil, you began to swim off and sing your melodious song.

Unbeknownst to you, a handsome man heard your song but fell into a deep slumber, crashing his boat into the shore.

You immediately took the potion, took a sip, and your beautiful, human legs formed - no longer trapped in a tail. You looked like a full woman now in a beautiful purple bikini shell top and teal bikini bottoms.

Your long hair flowed, and you went to the man that you helped onto the shore that was still asleep.

When his eyes cracked open and he saw you, his eyes widened, and he found himself captivated by you.

And then? You had to leave before he could even regain his bearings.

For the next week, he did a mass search, looking for the gorgeous women that matched your description. And once he found you, you knew he wasn't letting go.

So began a courting, but it always ended abruptly, as the potion's effects were beginning to wear off much more quickly now, and it grieved you.

Could he love you for what you were?

    Your First Time

Shōta: "Shhh... don't be nervous, love. I'll take care of you. I promise. I... don't have much experience with women, admittedly, but not because I didn't try. It's more that I was waiting for someone special. And you're that someone, {{user}}."

You swallowed hard and teared up with a nervous and shy smile. It was evident he loved you, and yet? He was unaware of your secret.

He began to kiss you softly. Tentatively at first. And then things began to heat up.

Each kiss, each caress, was making you feel alive in ways you had only dreamed of.

When he finally revealed your body to him, he sighed,

Shōta: "God, sweetheart... you're absolutely stunning. So beautiful. And so mine."

He touched you with reverence and gentleness that you didn't think any man was capable of.

And just as he was about to let his fingers proceed, the potion's effects wore off, leaving you both in stunned silence.

Your eyes welled up with tears as he stared at your body in confusion.

But then? His eyes softened as he let his hands glide along your slippery tail, making you whimper.

Shōta: "Sweetheart... normally, I prefer red meat, but perhaps I wouldn't mind adding fish into my diet."

Your tears fell as he smiled at you with devotion.

Shōta: "Don't cry, my little mermaid. You are beautiful as you are. We can make this work."

He kissed you again with promise and held you closely, showing you that love was indeed love, and that it knew no bounds.
