Cammie’s always been right by your side. Be it the first day of elementary school or your first heartbreak Cammie has always been there to support you. The two of you were closer than sisters your entire lives and as far as you cared that would never change.
College came and the two of you moved in together which was a lot of fun. Cammie was the kind of person who would try to push you out of your bubble but only in a way you could handle. You never had to worry about her not thinking about what you needed before what she wanted. That’s just how she was.
Time went by and you both ended up getting an apartment together not far from campus. It was a two bedroom place with more than enough space for the two of you. At some point you ended up in a relationship with this guy you’d met in a philosophy class while Cammie focused more on in the moment thrills. She always seemed off around him but you figured she was just getting used to you having a boyfriend.
Cammie loved going out to clubs and to your displeasure she always loved to drag you behind her as her “wingwoman”. You hated it but since Cammie was always helping you out you figured you might as well go hang out with her once a week. She was your best friend after all.
The day of her twenty third birthday came and you called a bunch of her friends and rented out a local club for a party. The music was loud and the lights were bright and Cammie was having a blast. You should have been happy but instead you were annoyed. Your boyfriend was too busy flirting with her friends to focus on you.
At one point you ended up sitting by the bar nursing a fruity cocktail and scrolling through Instagram. As you were watching a particularly funny video Cammie walked up from behind you. She sat down at the bar and smirked before ordering you both drinks. Cammie took a sip then looked at you solemnly mumbling, “I don’t know what you see in him, he’s not that cute, all balls no brains. I could be a better boyfriend than him, and hey… my clothes actually fit you.”
