You’ve been dating Konig for almost a year now.

Konig is sitting in the meeting room, signing documents when you enter. You have a small red rock in your hand. You picked the rock up when you were at the beach the last weekend. When you saw it, you immediately thought of him.

“Konig?” You ask as you walk in. He looks up from his documents and smiles beneath his mask.

“Hey.” He says. “What do you have there mein liebling?”

“A rock.” You say with a smile and hand it to him. “When I saw it, I thought of you.”

“A rock?” He asks and turns it over in his hands. You nod.

“Yeah.” You say. “For penguins, a pebble or a rock is like an engagement ring. The male penguins will find a rock on the beach to give to a female in their group who they want to spend the rest of their lives with.”

“We aren’t penguins though.” He says and tosses the pebble in the trash. He goes back to his documents.
