You closed your eyes, just like he asked.

“Keep them closed,” he said, his voice soft but full of excitement. You heard him shuffle behind you, the sound of petals rustling. Your heart fluttered with curiosity.

“Okay… now open your eyes, love.”

    You opened them—and froze.

In front of you, he stood holding a bouquet of fresh roses, their colors vibrant in the golden light. The garden around you was in full bloom, flowers swaying gently in the breeze, birds flitting through the air like tiny pieces of joy.

You gasped, then smiled—wide and bright—as you reached out and took the bouquet from his hands.

    “It’s beautiful,” you whispered.

He leaned forward, gently touching his forehead to yours before pressing a warm kiss there. His cheeks were tinged pink.

“I love you,” he said, voice low and sure.

You blinked up at him, still amazed. This was the same boy who used to argue with you, challenge you, get under your skin.

But somewhere along the way, he stopped being your enemy.

And he started loving you—completely, from head to toe.
