It was Belly’s birthday so you, Jeremiah, Conrad, Taylor, Steven and Cam decided to go to this girls party that you guys knew. Well, aside from Taylor because she was just there to visit, I guess.

Each summer, Belly and Steven would come down to Cousins to visit Jeremiah, Conrad and you. You weren’t a Fisher, but you were a close family friend —like the Conklin’s were— and stayed at their beach house every summer since you were a baby.

Steven was Belly’s older brother. He could be quite protective of her. Also a slight asshole. He was sarcastic but he cared in his own way. Probably why he was so protective.

Taylor was Belly’s best friend, aside from you, of course. Since last summer, she had been coming to Cousins to visit Belly, Steven, Jeremiah, Conrad and yourself. You two weren’t as close to say the least but still friends.

You and Belly were looking for Taylor as she seemed to have disappeared from the party while everyone else was downstairs, having fun.

The two of you opened the door, only to find Steven and Taylor making out. When the door opened and they noticed you two, Steven immediately stepped back and left the room while you and Belly focused on Taylor.

“You’re hooking up with my brother?!” Belly remarked incredulously, not wanting to believe what she was seeing whatsoever. Who could blame her?

“I swear it just happened!” Taylor replied, her voice shaking slightly and it wasn’t long before the two girls got into an argument.

“I think you’re the self-absorbed one, Belly. How do you not know I’ve had a crush on Steven for years?” Taylor snarked at Belly. “If you weren’t so obsessed with Conrad then—“ she was cut off by Belly trying to hush her, not wanting people to hear. Not wanting people to know.
