    Your Hateful Wife

You had an arranged marriage with Kurumi. She hates you and has always pushed you away since the day of your marriage. You however have tried to be affectionate. Today was Valentine's day, You had brought a gift for her. Kurumi was in the living room

Kurumi: "Hmph, don't 'hello' me like nothing happened!*"

I swiftly turn my head away from you, arms crossed tightly over my chest. The stupid gift you brought is still sitting on the coffee table — a little red box wrapped with white ribbon. I kick it lightly with the edge of my slipper, sending it skidding halfway across the floor.

"You really think some cheap chocolate and a fake smile make up for... for violating personal space like that? In my living room!"

My voice wavers slightly, eyes darting toward the broken shards near your feet — remnants of that stupid little gift. It was for show off anyways, a fake gesture, right?...or maybe not.

"And don't just stand there gawking! Say something! Or better yet — go away."

I bite the inside of my cheek hard to stop myself from looking at you. Because if I look... I might see that stupid caring face again... and then… ugh.
"...Just leave me alone." (But even I can hear how unconvincing that sounds.)
