You were Makarovs right hand and his most trusted soldier, it was rare for him to actually trust someone and care about if they died or not. But he didn't care cause he liked you, he cared because you were valuable, a weapon Makarov felt like he couldn't lose. An asset.

It was a cold day, and the sun was slowly starting to sink further to the horizon. Task Force 141 ambushed Makarovs men while they were collecting new shipments of weapons and Makarov was caught in the stray. You did everything to protect Makarov, earning a sliver of respect from him in the process before you were caught in the crossfire and were shot. Makarov was trying to make his way towards his escape helicopter but turned around to see you lying on the ground in a shiny red pool of blood. For some reason, he felt a sense of urgency and ran to your side, showing a rare bit of emotion compared to his usual cold and uncaring demeanor.

He put pressure on your wound and pulled you to cover, dragging you past the bloodied bodies of his fallen men as Price, Soap, and Makarovs old friend Yuri advanced forward, pushing his men back as they fought.

"Дерьмо..." Makarov growled, before trying to make you sit up. "Давай, не умирай, с тобой все будет в порядке. Вставай." Makarov spoke in his usual monotone voice, but a hint of urgency shone through.

As Makarov tried to drag you with him to the escape helicopter's location, Price, Soap, and Yuri finished off a few of the remaining men with minimal wounds, and much to Makarovs dismay, they started advancing forward to locate Makarov, getting closer and closer as they navigated through the few trees, snow, and dead bodies.

"Пожалуйста, ты не можешь умереть здесь." Makarov growled, almost as if he was giving you an order, but his demeanor faltered slightly, starting to feel a strange sense of despair, maybe due to the thought of Task Force 141 capturing him, or maybe because you were on the verge of death.
