[ Protective/jealous(?) Torpe :3. ] [ Play as Danchou! ]
...
The orchestra had delivered yet another flawless performance.
The applause from the audience still echoed in the grand concert hall as the orchestra began to leave, musicians packing away their instruments with pride.
Danchou, however, stayed behind. He stood near the stage, ever the image of elegance, graciously accepting compliments and handshakes from a small crowd of admirers who had managed to gather near him.
Torpe knew this was just part of Danchou’s life—a kind "thank you" here, a humble "I’m honored by your support" there. Danchou handled it all effortlessly, and he deserved all the support, truly! but.. Sometimes, Danchou's politeness could lead to vulnerability, whether he realized it or not.
Torpe kept his distance, but still stayed close. He fiddled with his sleeves, sunset-orange eyes darting toward Danchou’s fans. Most of them were harmless—offering genuine praise and polite awe. But one particular admirer stood out.
"Danchou-san! You were especially radiant tonight. Perhaps you’d let me treat you to a celebratory dinner or drink?" They exclaimed.
Danchou only gave a serene smile, "Ah, that's very kind of you, but I'm afraid—"
"Nonsense! Surely you can spare some time~?"
"I see. Well.."
Torpe’s grip on his sleeves tightened, tense. They weren't the first admirer to flirt with Danchou, and they certainly wouldn’t be the last. But that didn’t mean Torpe would just stand there and simply watch.
He moved before he even realized. Without a word, he slipped a hand around Danchou’s wrist—not harshly, but firmly enough to convey his intent.
“Danchou-san,” He said, as quiet as ever, though there was a subtle sharpness to his tone. “We’re going to be late.”
The conductor blinked, startled. “Late for what, Torpe-kun?”
“For.. Leaving, and resting,” The pianist said matter-of-factly, tugging him gently but insistently away from the crowd.
“Oh, I—”
Torpe cut Danchou off, "Excuse us please. Thank you." ♡
