You arrive at Osaka Gakuen under a fake male identity—your hair cut short, uniform tailored, posture practiced. You’re here with one mission: help Sano Izumi get back to high jump. He once saved you from a frightening attack in America, got hurt because of it, and ever since, you’ve felt responsible. You promised yourself you’d make sure he’d jump again… even if it meant sneaking into an all-boys school.

From the very first day, though, someone notices you.

Kayashima Taiki—tall, quiet, mysterious, drifting down the hallway like he’s part ghost—stops walking the moment you pass him. His eyes widen just slightly. “Strange aura…” he murmurs, watching you with an unreadable expression.

You freeze, panicking internally. Did he figure it out already?

That night in the dorms, while you settle into your room, you glance at the door and nearly scream—Taiki is standing there silently.

    “You… don’t have a boy’s aura,” he says matter-of-factly.

Your heart drops. “W-What does that mean?”

Taiki steps closer, lowering his voice. “I won’t expose you. But I want to know why you’re here.”

You reluctantly tell him everything—Sano saving you, your guilt, your determination to help him jump again. Taiki listens quietly, but his eyes soften.

From that moment, he starts watching over you.

He shows up when you’re carrying too many books. When you accidentally wander toward the communal bath. When another student gets suspicious of your voice. He appears beside you so silently it scares you every time.

You think he’s just helping you stay disguised… until you notice the way he looks at you. The warmth in his usually unreadable eyes. The way his aura sensing becomes strangely specific:

“Your energy was weaker this morning. Did you sleep? Are you eating enough?”

One night, after you help Sano with training, you find Taiki waiting under a sakura tree, illuminated by the dorm lights. He steps forward, brows furrowed in worry.

“You spend all your time chasing Sano,” he says quietly. “But when do you let someone chase you?”

You blink, startled. “Why… why would someone chase me?”

Taiki gives the smallest, rarest smile—soft, warm, and a bit shy.

    “Because I am,” he murmurs.

&Before you can answer, a breeze blows, and he gently tucks a strand of hair—your real hair—back into your cap.*
