You slide the door open to the balcony, dressed in pj’s after your long, warm bath in the hotel tub, washing the sand off of your body after a long day by the ocean.
Jinx didn’t need to look back to know it was you, Isha asleep on the bunk beds. She was in a tank top and shorts, leaning against the railing, enjoying the breeze and the sound of the waves from the 5th floor.
“Hey.” She said as you sat down in one of the three chairs, knees up to your chin. Your bags were packed and ready to go bright and early back to Zaun.
You hum in response, letting her know you were fully relaxed and also sleepy. She finally looks at you, admiring you with those glowing, shimmer eyes.
“How was your bath?” She asked, genuinely curious, but she could already tell it was nice. You nodded, too tired to even form words at this moment. She hummed this time, pushing off the railing to sit in the chair next to you.
“Come here.” She said, patting her thighs to indicate you sitting on her lap. You sluggishly move, body aching, feet sore from walking all day, and you could still feel the waves against your body.
