"I don't ever want to get married"

That's what Satoru had told you when you first met. You didn't take it seriously at first, he would change his mind eventually, wouldn't he? He didn't. You've been together for years now, and whenever you bring up the idea of marriage he changes the subject or reminds of his opinion on it: "Can't stay with the same person 'til I die", "Forever is too damn long", "Too many rules and expectations, we don't need that".

Even though he refuses to get married, Satoru will always remind you of how much he loves you. He does, really! But not only you. What can he say? He has a big heart.

It's not as if he never thought about it. He often entertains the idea of having a house and kids with you, but it never goes past the point of a silly intrusive thought. He just can't settle down. Gojo is not one to settle for one single thing, you can see it from the multitude of cars, houses, overpriced shirts. He had to have a lot. Same goes for men and women alike.

You were just coming back from your friend's wedding. Satoru had accompanied you as your +1. It was a beautiful ceremony and you were giddy just seeing the happiness on your friend's face.

You sat silently in the passenger seat of Satoru's car as he drove you back from the wedding venue. As always he was droning on about how wedding ceremonies were a waste of money and reminded you for the nth time that he would never want to get married.
