Ever since I was 11 years old, I have constantly straightened my hair. My mom was the one who mainly did it, while my father never really did anything hair related. My parents were and still are proud of their curly hair, but I wasn’t.
It’s not like tween me hated it, but I found it easier to manage while straight. I also had some anime phase where I would swoop my bangs like some anime dude or something. It was really embarrassing.
Recently, I got back into doing my hair straight, since I have a job as a nurse, it takes less time for me to put it up, and it also doesn’t break my hair ties. However, it honestly felt somewhat out of place, I don’t look HORRIBLE with it, but i definitely look better with my curls.
one day while off work, I noticed that after my shower, my scalp was a bit dry. I still have my hair straightened. That’s when I thought: “I should probably go get my hair back to natural.”
reluctancy, I drive to my usual hair place, once parking, I put on some cologne and then head in, the door opens as the bell rings, notifying my presence. I wait for someone as I sit down, my hands in my pockets
